This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit this website, for what purpose and on what legal basis, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Hosting and delivery

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) and delivered and protected by the Cloudflare content delivery network (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, technically necessary data is processed, in particular your IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This is needed to deliver the website, keep it stable and secure, and fend off attacks.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working website). Both providers may process data in the USA; they are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or use EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

3. Contact form and email

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (name, email address, optionally phone number, the service you are interested in and your message) to answer your enquiry. The form is sent via the Web3Forms service, which forwards it to us by email.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, given via the checkbox in the form. We delete your enquiry once it has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

4. Google Analytics 4 (only with consent)

With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics is only loaded after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. It sets cookies and collects information about how you use the website, such as pages viewed, time on site, approximate location (based on a shortened IP address), device and browser, and whether the contact form was submitted. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.

Legal basis: your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) of the German TDDDG. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future via “Cookie settings” on the homepage. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Analytics data is deleted automatically after 14 months.

5. Local storage in your browser

We store your cookie choice and language preference in your browser’s local storage so we don’t have to ask on every visit. This data never leaves your device. Legal basis: § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (strictly necessary).

6. External links

This website contains links, for example to Instagram. Data is only sent to that provider once you click such a link, and its privacy policy then applies.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the data we hold about you (Art. 15)
• have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16)
• erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18)
• data portability (Art. 20)
• object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)
• withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3))
• lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state where you live (Art. 77)

8. No automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

9. Changes

We update this policy when the website or legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
